The easiest way to submit a story is to use the bookmarklet as it allows you to submit links in one click without any copy/paste issues. So if you upload something or see something online that you wish to share just click on the submit story link.

Using BookMarklet

To make link submission easier we have developed a 'Bookmarklet'. Yeah, we know there are thousands of these in the wild but this is one is especial ;)

And here's how it works.

• Right click on the following link Share at SecGuru and add to your favorites/bookmarks.
• The browser wil give you an unsafe link warning. This is becasue we use Javascript within this link. We promise that you are safe. Click OK.
• Browse to the page you wish to add and click on the link you just added.
• The link is automatically added to the SecGuru and you can then edit the title and description.

Some Do's and Donts

Here is a list of some important facts we would like you to keep some things in mind so that its easier for everybody to use the site.

DO's

• Do search for existing posts
• Do use a clear, concise title.
• Do provide a short description of the story to capture interest
• Do link directly to the article using a permalink
• Do read all the comments before posting your own(if there are a lot this may be impractical, but at least try)

Do use comments as feedback on a story.

DON'Ts

• DonÂ’'t repost, no matter how interesting the story!
• DonÂ’'t link to a blog or news siteÂ’s home page. By the time the story makes the front page, it may no longer even be on their front page.
• Don'Â’t use comments to flame the editor, author, or other commenters.
