10 things you should know about privacy protection and IT

Personal privacy has become a major public concern. Highly visible data breaches, identity theft, and frauds such as phishing scams have created a huge corporate and consumer burden and threaten trust in internet and e-commerce services. Studies have shown that almost half of US residents have "little or no confidence" that adequate steps have been taken to secure their personal data.
