Hackers break into Commerce Bank database
Commerce Bank said Tuesday that computer hackers had compromised a database, accessing 20 customers' personal data.
The Kansas City bank said it stopped the disruption and notified affected account holders, as well as others in the database's 3,000 records. The theft affected a quarter of 1 percent of Commerce's customers.
Commerce said it notified law enforcement authorities and will provide free credit monitoring services to affected customers for 24 months.
