Sniffer programs are a data interception technology that increase the risk of so-called "man-in-the-middle" attacks, and with the release of dsniff, security specialists need to be more aware of it than ever. Part 1 of this series explained how these network probing tools work, and how to recognize an attack. Here, Larry concludes with some tools and strategies for fighting sniffers.
